Two Lakes in Japan and New Zealand

Hi! My name is Daichi Aoki. I am introducing two lakes in Japan and New Zealand. First, I am talking about Lake Taupo. Lake Taupo is the largest lake in New Zealand. The size is about 616 square kilometers. The size is about as large as Singapore Island. Lake Taupo has a history of 1,800 years. This area is popular for tourists. Over 1.2 million tourists come to this area for sightseeing per year. The popular activities are cycling and skydiving, etc. Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge is very famous event for cyclists. The participators cycle around the lake. It takes about 4-10 hours.
Secondary, I am talking about Lake Biwa. Lake Biwa is the largest lake in Japan. The size is about 670 square kilometers. This lake takes up 17 per cent of Shiga prefecture. This lake is very old. This lake is one of the oldest lakes in the world. In this area, long-distance relay road races, in Japanese Ekiden, are held every year. And Japan International Birdman Rally is held every year. In this event, participators compete the time in air with their human powered flight machines.

Lake Taupo and Lake Biwa

In New Zealand, there are many places for sightseeing. New Zealand is filled with nature. Actually more than one third of New Zealand is occupied by parks and nature reserves. Moreover in New Zealand there are many World Heritages. 10 percents of territory are placed on the World Heritage List. I am introducing lakes in New Zealand. The biggest lake is Lake Taupo. The length is about 36 kilometers. The width is about 27kilometers. The depth is about 160 meters. The perimeter of the lake is 193 kilometers. The surface area is about 616 square kilometers. This lake is located in inland and this is the best place for cruise. This lake was made by many times supervolcano. By the supervolcano very big crater came into existence and enormous water gathered. When the eruption happened the disaster had affected at Europe and China.
Next, I am introducing Lake Biwa in Japan. The perimeter of the lake is 241 kilometers. The surface area is about 670 square kilometers. Therefore Lake Biwa is larger a little than Lake Taupo. Moreover there is difficulty between the histories of Lake Biwa and Lake Taupo. Lake Biwa was made by movement of the earth'scrust.

New Zealand

There are many sites. This is the site about NewZealand I recommend. There are many sightseeings in New Zealand. I am introducing a few places. Mt. Taranaki is one of the sightseeings. The height is 2518 meters and dormant volcano. Te papa is musium. This musium introduces many historical and cultural things. Its desighn is very attractive, so it took five years to build. This was built in 1998. Queen street is famous for the many shops and this street is crowded with a lot of people. Its length is about 1.5 kilometers. Through this street we can see banks, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, movie theaters, souvenir shops and so on. I think you can enjoy this street very much. I recommend it.

CRAZY WATER FESTIVAL

Hi! My name is Daichi Aoki. I am introducing Crazy Water Festival. This festival is held in Texas in United States. This festival is celebrated each year on the second Saturday in October. But originally, this festival used to be held around late May or early June, because the festival fell into a decline.
In this festival, many vendors can sell various goods, from leather goods to flowers, the latest fashions, western-style clothing, antiques, food and jewelry. There are not only shops, but also many entertainments, for example, car show. Thanks to these entertainments, we can enjoy this festival with family and friends.

Autumn festivals!

I am introducing about a festival in Aomori prefecture. The festival name is Aomori Nebuta Festival. It is very famous in Japan. It is held at Aomori city in Aomori prefecture. This festival is held from 2nd to 8th on August every year. Nebuta is a festival car. The festival car is very big. The maximum size of the width is 9 meters. The maximum size of the depth is 7 meters. The maximum size of the height is 5 meters. The car’s theme is the gods and Buddha or legendary or historical person of Japan or China. Recently, in this festival troublesome person appear. The name is Karasuzoku. They are in black clothing and very violence.

Next, I introduce my hometown festival. The name is Handa Dashi festival. This festival is held every four years. This cycle is the same as the Olympics, so I am always looking forward to this festival. At this festival, many stalls are held and many people enjoy it. Dashi is festival car. In my hometown, we have five festival cars. The number is high level in Japan.
The dashi is very big, so when this car moves we are very excited. You should see it.

recent and my favorite movies

I’ll talk about two movies. One of the movies is one that I saw recently in a movie theater in Nagoya, Twentieth Century Boys. Another is one which is my favorite movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I saw Twentieth Century Boys with my girlfriend. It was originally comic that it continues today. Tsutsumi Yukihiko made it a live-action movie. I have read the comic from the start of this, so I was very glad to hear that this comic become movie. Kenji is main character. When he was young, he prophesied how the world ends with his friends irresponsibly. And when he became adult, the prophecy became real. So he and his friends have to fight against enemy. The enemy name is Tomodachi. This is Tomodachi picture. The mask is very scary. I was very excited at this movie and frightened. The characters in the movie resemble with face that in the comic. This movie is made up of three chapters. I saw the chapter 1. Next chapter will be released January 31st. I want to see it.

Next movie is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I saw it with my friend when I was 16 years old in local theater. The story is very fancy. There is a famous chocolate factory. The president of the factory made five special chocolates. The chocolates have special tickets. The person who buy the tickets can visit the factory. I think this movie is musical movie. In this movie we can listen to nice songs. Furthermore in this movie, main character, Charlie, is played by Johnny Depp. This is Johny Depp picture. I think he is like woman.I love him very much because I think he is very fascinating and cool. He plays in not only this movie, but also Pirates of the Caribbean. I recommend it.
